I’m currently working as a Teaching Fellow at The University of Birmingham, and am about to publish my first book, Language, Gender and Parenthood Online.

I’m interested in language, gender, sexuality and identity, especially family roles and relationships. Most of my research to date has focused on how parents navigate wider socio-cultural norms and expectations around gender and parenthood in their online interactions.

I created this blog to keep me in the habit of writing regularly, and to document my experiences as a researcher. Thanks for reading.

So nice to see an English teacher doing this work; you do get good grammar and punctuation.
